A NOTE FROM CHARLIE: Delbert’s been runnin’ his gasoline powered table saw for quite some time now. I understand he’s got 2 or 3 of these here gas cans sit-in’ right beside his saw. Makes it so he can cut board all day if’n he wants. Got to hand it to ol’ Delbert down on his farm. He’s got himself this here gasoline powered cutting’ saw and he’s been cuttin’ up all his left over boards and making’ wood pallets and selling’ them to Ezra down at the Feed & Seed. Ezra stacks all his sacks and stuff on the pallets making’ it easier to load them onto Luke’s wagon. Did I forget to mention – Luke didn’t join the army after all. Instead, got himself a second-hand freight wagon and is startin’ out to make his fortune. Delbert makes a profit, Ezra makes a profit. And now Luke makes a profit too. Now that’s real trickle-down economics.
